We didn't know a doctor that would do the serial casting when we did the botox so I can't speak about the combo but I highly recommend the cast. One other tidbit that we just found is that after her last casting, we got her a new AFO as well as a night splint. (her issues is tiptoeing due to right side hemiplegia). The combination of her wearing the brace during the day and the brace at night has been by far the most effective treatment to date. She is still partially on her toe without the brace but she so much more flexible and has MUCH better form. The night splint was ordered by the orthotic office and it's not custom made, just s,m,l and has velcro that you can adjust to keep the foot in a neutral position while she sleeps. It may help your little girl too! Good luck to you! I can already see the progress in the video! I know exactly what you mean about it being disconcerting at the same time though, but it looks like Darsie is doing really well. :-)

With best wishes
Abi and family (UK)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
