22 Weeks!

First off, aren't ultrasound pictures kind of scary? I don't know what it is but the weird skull pictures ALWAYS freak me out!

Had another OB appointment yesterday and everything went well. Blood pressure measured in at 122/75 after running up and down a flight of stairs and dealing with a Darsie who wanted to play with the hazardous waste container and didn't want to be held. Urine was fine as well. Heartbeat was 142 bpm.

I had been feeling a tearing pain on my left side when I picked D up or held her, so I asked about it and my OB confirmed it was probably round ligaments. She said to keep holding Darsie as long as I wanted to. I also asked about travel since Darsie was born at 28 weeks. She said I knew the risks of travelling and it was up to me but as long as my tests were all coming back normal, I could go and do whatever I want really but to know where the nearest hospital was just in case. We don't have any crazy trips planned but we are hoping to go to the coast for a weekend before the baby makes her appearance.

Did I mention that we made a decision on a name? Our newest little girl will be named Elise Adelaine.

I will update with ultrasound pics from last week as soon as my scanner finishes up, too. Also, a big Darsie update coming later!

You and I are on almost the exact same pregnancy schedule: my due date is June 7th.

Ultrasound photos always seem weird to me, too, though riveting. I like seeing the feet best. The tech is always like, "Here, let me try to get a better shot of the face," and when that skull thing looms into view I always wish she'd go back to the feet.

Shannon,

Congrats on finding out it's another little girl!!! I have always LOVED the name Elise. So beautiful!

I don't have any books to share to help Darsie out. Is she playing with baby dolls yet? Maybe having a doll to hold and play with will help?

Can't wait for an update about how D is doing!
