Back to our normally scheduled happenings...

Breathe a sigh of relief. I had my first "real" doctor's appointment yesterday and there was a heartbeat, blood pressure was good, and everything else looked great. It is always nice to get over that initial hump and the realization that yeah, I'm not just getting fat and am sick, there is really a baby in there! Next appointment is in a month and I'll be getting an ultrasound. I'll be 15 weeks...what do you think the chances are they could tell the sex? I am horribly impatient. If not, I'll get another one at 20 weeks, so no worries there.

In shop news, I had such great feedback about the t-shirt for Elise, that I decided to put it up for sale. Let me know if any of you are interested and I'll cut you a special friends and family deal.

As with most everyone I talk with, we're trying to avoid the rainy days and not mold. Our lawns is loving the rain! And we're putting on our rain duds and braving the gray skies.

Have a great week everyone if I don't make it back! I have a mile long list of projects to finish up! Rainy days are great sewing days.

Yay! I'm glad everything's looking good in the tum!
Also, we found out Eli's sex at fifteen weeks! So it's possible. The tech did say it's easier at that age to identify definitively a boy than it is a girl, though.

I feel like I can't even wait until 15 weeks to know, let alone to 20. ACK! Why is there no WINDOW in the TUM?

I don't know how people wait until birth to know the sex...I would be so impatient!

You are so right. Is this rain ever going to stop?

Shannon,
I'm glad to hear that all is going well with Baby #3! I'm wishing you a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
We found out the sex at about 18 weeks. The problem is, though, that they were completely WRONG! We were told that Daniel was a girl, which I found odd because the technician admitted that she couldn't get a clear shot of the genitals. Upon the advice of my SIL, we got a second opinion at 32 weeks. Lo and behold, Daniel was literally pointing at his boy parts with his legs spread wide. He was born early less than a month later, so we had quite the time exchanging all of the girlie things that we had bought. The bottom line is, take the early sex determination with a grain of salt, and if they say it's a girl, don't paint the nursery pink until you get it checked again!
The shirt Elise is wearing is too darn cute! By the way, I LOVED the one - handed belts; I'd like to buy one for Daniel before he starts school again. Take care!

So you and Mo Mommy are practically pregnancy buddies! LOVE it! I agree with Swistle--having a little window installed would really make things easier for the impatient peeps like myself. Of course, my true love is baby naming and we're still a long way from that!

That shirt you made for Elise is precious!
