Let's take a trip to the library
Once upon a time (pre-marriage and kids), I read, A LOT. But circumstances changed and my time became committed to more than just me and reading slipped by the wayside. But I miss it. So, in attempt to return to reading at least on a semi-regular basis, I'm revisiting my library card (because when did books become so expensive? Or maybe...when did I become so cheap?). My biggest obstacle (besides time) is that I will actually have to go to the library to pick up my books. I wish they would ship them to me, haha.
Currently waiting for me at my local library to pick up are the following:

Looks like I need to get my rear to the library...hopefully today or tomorrow if this cold subsides a bit. It isn't fun (or safe) driving while dizzy.

I think Amy Sedaris was on SNL? I could be completely wrong, though. I suck at the name game. I didn't see any fiction in that stack--do you read any, or just non-fiction?

2) I'm working my way through all of Maeve Binchy's books. I heart her.
3) I have occasionally resorted to buying lots of cheap used books online, to avoid having to arrange a trip to the library.
I love Jennifer Weiner and highly recommend any of her books. Also, Jemima J, by Jane Green, is one of my all time favorites. Let us know what you think of The Time Traveler's Wife, I left that book with very mixed feelings. . .

I just finished "The Doctor's Wife" by Elizabeth Brundage. It was a decent read.
I love anything AT ALL by Elizabeth Berg, except maybe the recent one about the nativity story. A little weak.
Also, Anita Shreve is awesome. And Philippa Gregory! If you're into history at all, hers are all must-reads!
The Kite Runner was wonderful, though a little depressing. I hear there's another one out by the same author, too.
Ok, Shannon, off-topic, but you're a bit of resource here. Charlie is almost eight months old. He has decided that he no longer wants his bottle. He'll put it in his mouth, but he only chews. Solid food he takes pretty well (a little tongue thrusting, but nothing major). Bottle--nuh, uh. He's always been a good eater (my nuero and OT have told me so), but now this. Do you think it could be CP related or is it just a weird baby thing? I know my friends baby just outgrew the bottle. Let me know if you've got any info on this.
Seriously, Elise is doing the same thing and she doesn't have CP. She is about 7.5 months corrected or so, so maybe it is more of a developmental thing. She will also only take her bottle if it is very warm. It could also be teething. Elise just got her first tooth and she is chewing, chewing. He could lso be preparing to prepare for a growth spurt. My girls will either be eating a ton, growing, eating normally or hardly eating. It seems to go in cycles. If you think he is outgrowing the bottle (D took one until she was 3 an she would still take one if we hadn't of made her drop it), I would try a soft top sippy, like a Nubby found at Walmart.
It would definitely be cool if libraries delivered books. I have that same problem, but mostly my problem is that I find time to go GET books to the library, then never find the time to bring them BACK! Therefore, when I make it to the library, I often find myself writing a check for so much money, I could have bought a few books instead!

I used to read avidly, and I wish I had more time for it now. Rowr.
