Sorry for the long absence

Sorry for the long absence. Besides trying to get used to mothering three children, I had a seizure on Sunday due to preeclampsia and wound up in the hospital for a night. I'm still trying to get my blood pressures under control and am fighting somewhat constant fatique. I'm hoping to get back to normal ASAP and resume regular blogging in the somewhat near future.

In the meantime, Happy Holidays! I hope everyone has a lovely holiday season filled with family, fun, and fantastic food.

Yikes! So... preeclampsia can hit even after the baby is born? That's scary! I hope you're feeling relatively well by Christmas! Glad you're ok.

WHAT? What what what? You say that so casually! You had a SEIZURE??? That must have been SO SCARY! What did it feel like to you? Did you lose consciousness? Was your husband home? Was it very scary? Do they think it will happen again?

Ugh. Sounds like the pp things are worse for you than the pregnancy was! Hopefully you are on the mend now and won't have to deal with it for much longer!

I had the seizure just as we were in the check out line at Toys 'R Us. I handed Bert to Jeff and after that, not much memory until in the ER, although I remember being in the ambulance and trying to remember what day Bert was born and not being able to remember the date. Luckily Jeff was with me and took care of me and now I'm recovering well. Thank you all for the kind thoughts and warm wishes. They mean a lot.

Wow, Shannon, that sounds scary. I also had no idea you could have preeclampsia issues post-pregnancy, let alone have a seizure. I hope that you are completely better as you read this, and that you guys had a great Christmas.

I had blood pressure issues after my daughter was born and had to stay in the hospital for two weeks. I'm not surprised you are exhausted - look after yourself.

Your son is gorgeous!

My name is Charity and my son Wade just had the Botox injections and we are to start serial casting this next week. Could you offer any insight into what I should expect? Wade is three and has CP affecting both legs causing extreme toe walking. I was reading your blog and am curious as to what to expect..
