Serial Casting - Cast One

Monday found us at the PT to get Darsie serial casted (third time, round one). In bad news, there was still some tightness in her foot, but in good news, her PT felt that it was mainly soft tissue and not muscular. He said we would be able to tell if the Botox had done its thing better once this cast comes off.

She has experienced some uncomfortableness this go around, mainly in the form of itchiness, that she hasn't in the past, but she is trooping through.

This time she picked a pretty pale pink cast. I think this and the red have been my favorites so far. Last night we also decided to "applique" it. Cute, huh?

For the itching with Allie's casting we blew dry the outside of the cast on a cool setting. It seemed to help. I love the horse, I'll have to try that with Allie's!

hey i know what she is going through. The itching really stinks. I used to put a fork or butter knife down the cast to scratch as long as there is no surgical stuff it was fine it is so tough especially in the summer lobe the horse

New to CP. We have a 15 month old born 2 months early and was found to have PVL. This summer our son is showing indication of CP. He has low tone trunk with tightness in arms and inner thighs to legs. We have started all the thearpies he can get. Any advice on resources and what is to come next. I have been doing my research online but have hit a wall and anything new. Thanks for any help that is given.
